The UK ranks 13th of 28 on GNI per head, PPP (2024)

The UK ranks 13th of 28 on GNI per head, PPP in 2024: 52,643, unit international $ (constant 2021 PPP), against an EU27 median of 48,454. Source: World Bank Indicators (WDI and WGI), NY.GNP.PCAP.PP.KD, snapshot of 6 November 2026.

Gross national income per person, adjusted for purchasing power and inflation. Counts income received by residents, so it is less affected by profits booked abroad than GDP.

Caveat. For Ireland and Luxembourg, GNI per head is a better guide to resident income than GDP per head. Luxembourg is flagged as an income outlier, not removed. Figures for this measure are affected by multinational companies' accounting, which is especially large in Ireland's case.
